Retro Birth Certificate

My father showed me a copy of my birth certificate and some items caught my attention First is the classic typewriter look. I love how the letters are imperfectly imprinted and how they aren't quite aligned perfectly. I also noticed my mother's youthful signature where the name is actually legible.

But even more retro are the fields and answers on the certificate. My father's "USUAL OCCUPATION" and "KIND OF BUSINESS OR INDUSTRY" are listed but there are no fields for my mother's occupation and workplace. But more interesting are the boxes for both of my parents "COLOR OR RACE" where the typewriter answer reads "YELLOW".

Yes folks, my parents are "YELLOW". Perhaps one day our children will gawk at "ASIAN OR PACIFIC ISLANDER".
