Dining with Babies

It's difficult dining at a restaurant with a toddler and a baby. At least now the dumpling is fairly proficient at self-feeding, but Mr. Happy, being the mini-bite eater that he is, usually needs some coddling during bigger people mealtime whether we're at home or out. This means we must do the parental mealtime hot potato (aka Mr. Happy) dance, or if only one parent is present, then it's the baby knee balance while simultaneously eating from afar act.

To ease the eating out experience, we frequent family friendly establishments like Chinese buffet house Chengdu and the dumpling's favorite, Pomegranate Bistro. Although both restaurants are great, the child-friendly good eats establishments are just a very small portion of restaurants available to the non-baby toting crowd.

Now someone has come up with a novel solution! It's called The Family Dining Series, and it begins with three hot restaurants offering an eating experience for the whole family. Reservations are on a first come first served basis from 5-6:30pm. Thank Red Tricycle and Hsiao-Ching Chou's newest baby, Future Foodies of America for this series.

Now you can save your babysitter money and feed your kids duck confit and dungeness crab salad.
