The Stars Are Aligned

Folks all over the Pacific NW are grumbling because we've reached the end of the glorious, sunny summer season and have begun the months of dreary gray weather. After soaking their skins in the heat of the sun, Seattlites are experiencing sun withdrawl. But not in our household.

The dumpling dislikes direct sunlight, and although she's bemoaning the fact that she cannot play in the backyard, she is a happy indoor gal.

And Chainwhip? He's giddy. I am not joking. The stars are aligned for this fellow. Today we went to the Greek Festival, so he had his annual roasted lamb sandwich. It's cool, damp, cloudy and rainy outside. And LSU plays Auburn today.

He's so happy that he didn't get mad at me when we thought I had lost my wallet at the festival. He ran, in the rain, back to the St. Demetrios, and all the while the wallet was in the wrong pocket of the diaper bag. And he tweaked his knee while running. I didn't even get a disgruntled look!

Here he is, content to watch football...

Chainwhip

Wearing gray.
